How often are you guys gonna update?
That's an interesting question, and I'm glad you asked it.

The answer is simple.

Whenever we feel like it.

No. Really though. This comic is more something to do when we have a bit of free time. Writing scripts is easy enough, and I can get it done in about five seconds flat. The drawing of the comic takes a bit more time, and Carly is probably busier than I am. (I'm only in college. She's in college AND high school.)

So, come check on us occasionally. We'll try to do at least one comic a month. If Carly can't put together a comic, I'll try to draw something, with my sad excuse for artistic skills.

How can you be contacted?
You can contact either writer or artist at booksndogscomic@gmail.com

If you have a question for one of us specifically, you must put our name in the subject (Jen or Carly). If it is not addressed as such, either of us will answer it. Also, be sure to tell us what the email is about. Comment, question, or fanart. Especially mention if it's fanart. We don't want to miss any!

What is Books n Dogs about anyway?
This one is a bit harder to answer. Mostly because there's no specific storyline we've cobbled together. As evidenced by the first comic, it's about the writer and the artist. The second on is a group of characters from my novel series (unpublished). Later, there will be characters from the stuff Carly's written, some old RPG characters. Pretty much whoever we want to toss in.

Maybe eventually the entertainment that is our daily lives and characters living in our heads will evolve into a cohesive plotline, but don't hold your breath. Just enjoy each comic as it comes.

Why are some of the comic full page colored, and some black and white strips?
It largely depends on A) the mood Carly's in B) the characters involved and C) the kind of punch line used. Some comics just need more space than others, and some demand coloring.

For more details on this strange creative process, go bug Carly.

So Jennifer's written some novels. Is there any way I can read them?
Unfortunately no. I'm working towards getting them published, and I intend to let the whole world know if and when it ever happens.

Because of the finicky nature of the publishing beast, there are few people who get to actually see the manuscripts before I begin querying them. Right now the total is three. My sister (who reads everything I do) a beta reader, and a copyeditor. My books won't be available for mass viewing until after they're published.

Keeping that in mind, most of what you see in the comic is related to the creative process that goes in my head (meaning the random bits of dialogue and information I can't fit into my writing when I think of them) and won't be seen in the books. This comic is a completely separate entity from my novels, and will likely remain that way.

However, if you want to read some of the other stuff I've written, just pop on over to my Devianart page and take a peak.

Comments are always helpful. ^_^

More questions will be put up as we get them.
